We have a full stock of over 500 colors of high-quality Swiss Metrosene thread in our warehouse.  We will custom match the best thread for your garment.

What do you offer for Best Match Linings, Interfacings and Zippers?

Our stock of lining fabrics and interfacing fabrics is available for you to view and order in our online store.  However, sometimes our customers wish to have one of our experienced sewers match linings or interfacings in person to find the perfect match for your fabric order.  We also carry 9" and 22" zippers in both regular and invisible that we will match according to your instructions.

What do you offer for Best Match Buttons?

Many of our buttons are available to view and buy right here through our online store (see Distinctive Buttons).  But our selection of unique designer buttons does not stop there!  We have an expansive collection of exquisite buttons from classy basics to rare treasures that wear like jewelry.  Per your instructions, our experienced sewers can search through our collection for the perfect button to match your garment!

Subscribers:  Many of our buttons are chosen to work with the fabrics offered in our seasonal fabric swatch mailings.  If you are a subscriber and are looking for the perfect match for one of our subscription fabrics, please ask us to find the Best Match for you.

Our buttons are priced individually (not carded) so you can choose the exact number you need.  We suggest purchasing an extra since we cannot always guarantee continuity of stock.  We will do our best to send you the button which best meets your criteria. How do I indicate what quantity I want?

Simply tell us in the Requests section before adding Best March Service to your cart.  You will not be able to adjust the quantity field for the Best Match item once it is in your shopping cart, since your item may include multiple requests.

What if I want a  Best Match  for an item not in my order?

Mail us a swatch!  In addition to matching buttons, thread, interfacing, linings, and zippers to any order from our mailings or our online store, we can find the Best Match for any garment your are constructing.  Simply send us a swatch of your fabric or yarn and an experienced sewer will find the perfect match!

Along with your swatch, please tell us what you are making (short jacket, classic blazer, one button unstructured jacket, skirt buttons down the side, etc.) and what "look" you're going for, i.e. dressy or casual, contrast or blend, artistic statement or subtle sophistication...  It is helpful to give a size range for buttons and zippers and a price range for any of our products.
